Simple, the sensitive skin experts, kicked off 2015 with their #AboutFace campaign. The campaign’s focus is all about ensuring that we have the tools required to restore our faces to their very best after the ravages of Winter weather, the challenge of lots of celebrations over Christmas and New Year, late nights, extra makeup and the lack of enough decent daylight.
I was invited to a Simple event where they were showcasing some of their new product additions as well as their collection heros. It was tough; eating canapés, sipping on fizz, testing lotions and potions in an apartment at the rather wonderful Ham Yard Hotel, but I dug deep and I took one for the team!
I was actually surprised by the diversity and sophistication of Simple’s beauty offer. I knew about the Simple facial cleansing wipes (a festival staple) and I had previously tried a Simple face wash, being of a sensitive-skinned nature but I didn’t know about their more cosmetic oriented products like the silky smooth BB cream or, my personal favourite, the Simple Kind To Skin+ Illuminating Radiance Cream.
The Illuminating Radiance Cream is now part of my daily beauty routine, actually replacing the primer and BB cream that I was previously slapping on. You only need a little squirt of this as it goes a long way (too much and you have to wait a bit for it to dry before moving on to any other product application). The formulation is super smooth and I feel like it gives me an immediately better looking skin texture. The illumination part comes from a very fine scattering of light reflecting natural minerals blended into this cream. If your skin isn’t too dry, you can use this in place of a moisturiser as it’s infused with Sweet Almond and Sunflower Seed oils, along with soothing and conditioning ingredients. You will also benefit from SPF 15 which helps protect against UVA/UVB rays keeping you looking young and un-crinkled.
So this multi-talented addition to my makeup bag comes highly recommended. Oh, and it’s a bargain at less than £9 too.
