Have you been following our #kitchenrefurb project on Instagram? If so, you would have seen my hashtag #itsallaboutthedetails, and it really is! The space we’re reworking is rather compact shall we say, and also the style of this kitchen redesign is clean and pretty minimal. Those things in combination mean that every decision, every component, and every square inch of space needs to be considered with great care.
Pinterest has proven to be a super rich resource for inspiration, and helped with many of our creative decisions but we wanted to make sure we’d looked in every corner of the interweb to find the absolute best ideas that we could. That’s when we discovered Homify.
Not only is this a great source of general inspiration with stunning shots of interiors, exteriors, room details, you can also source architects and makers on here too. It’s a great full-service package! So we were obviously specifically looking for kitchen inspiration, and even more drilled down than that, storage ideas. Looking through page after page, I came across quite a few independent labels and online shops that I hadn’t heard of before. The one that I fell for the most was Utility.
Homify hosts a profile page for each label so after reading they they are based in Brighton, sell their own products as well as some sourced from independent manufacturers and have an online shop I was sold. It’s tempting to place an order for these gorgeous Parfait jars right away, but I have a feeling a quick roadtrip down to Brighton might be in order to find more gorgeousness to perfectly finish off our kitchen project.
