“Blink” Reports: April Extras!

So, I woke up thinking that we don’t tell you about our reporting enough. The blog is just one aspect of our business. The majority of the team’s energy is actually focused on creating a fabulous set of retail reports each month. We also work with various aspects of the fashion industry as creative consultants, from supporting brilliant start ups to teaching at LCF to forecasting for big high street brands (the list goes on!).

This month we have a great promotional offer on our reports. If you place a subscription order for 6 months, you will receive 7. If you place an order for 12 months, you will actually receive 14. Wowsers! So if you’re a supplier, manufacturer, brand, buyer, designer, creative director then this could be a brilliant tool for you. We create monthly reports by category (soft wovens, denim, jersey, knitwear and print) as well as a wonderful ‘Overview’ report that contains the best bits from all of the other reports. Each quarter we also issue a bumper edition all about ‘Accessories’.

Here are the first few pages from last month’s ‘Overview’, just to give you a sneak peek. If you’re interested, would like to know more or see more just have a look here to find out who your nearest agent is.

Blinking in Japan

If you’re not going to be at the JFW International Fashion Fair in Tokyo, we’d hate you to miss out on seeing our lovely new poster. Our Japanese agents, Taiyo, requested this for their booth at the event as they’ll be showcasing our products (fingers crossed for lots of new orders!). Thanks for the great artwork Christian!

JFW International Fashion Fair is the biggest trade show event for fashion industry and fashion-related industry in Japan so hopefully we’ll be spreading the “Blink” love far and wide…

Blink Update- Going Soft

We started the New Year by launching a new report. We are very excited to introduce our ‘Soft Wovens’ report to the portfolio. Here at “Blink” we are fans of fabulous textiles, so this is treat for us and any like us! Are there any like us? We do hope so!!!

The report is a celebration of all unstructured woven product, with some great close ups of detail so that you can really appreciate the care lavished on these looks. As usual, as well as great current product from high end to high street brands, there is vintage and street shots. Here is one of the delicious street shots from the inaugural report. This features our super stylish stylist friend, Zoe. We spotted her at the best party of 2009, rocking one of the best looks of the night, if not of the whole year! At first sight we thought this was a stunning maxi dress, but as Zoe shimmied past we noticed that this was in fact a fabulous, vintage, blouson jump suit.

To see more of our ‘Soft Wovens’ report, contact your nearest agent.

Blink Press Release

Blink London, an Innovative New Fashion Consultancy & Reporting Service

BLINK LONDON is a fashion reporting and consultancy service offering a unique insight in to the best of the British fast fashion womenswear.

Founded by designer and forecaster Lucy Williams who realized that there demand for a new type of reporting service, one that cuts straight to key information allowing customers to be both inspired and instantly informed on what is happening on the fast changing British high street.

“I became frustrated by other services that were over complex or too divorced from the reality of turning around product at speed.  I instinctively knew what was missing because I have worked as a designer for some of the best loved high street brands, starting my career with Whistles, Warehouse and then to Marks & Spencer where I created the Autograph own label collection.  I understand how to break new ground by creating innovative new collections as well as energizing established collections and strengthening a brand’s identity.  I knew that there was a genuine need for a service like BLINK” Lucy Williams, BLINK’s Creative Director.

BLINK reports are split into product specific categories- denim, dresses, print, jersey, knit, graphic and accessories, so there is no need to sift through pages of irrelevant ‘noise’. BLINK provides over 100 images each month, in an easy to use format combining clarity and creativity. The reports include detailed product shots, people shots, vintage and pantone referenced colour palettes. They believe the clear, constant flow of up-to-the-minute information saves clients precious time and increases their speed to market, which is critical in the fast paced global fashion market.

In addition to the reporting service BLINK also offers a sample purchasing service, personalized itineraries for London and Paris, accompanied shopping trips in London, or personally tailored retail reporting.

Lucy’s 18 years experience of the British fashion industry and her background as a womenswear designer gives she has an intimate understanding of what tools will really help designers, buyers and visual merchandisers to deliver inspiration, innovation and commercial success on a daily basis.  This, coupled with her team’s extensive Buying, Design and Forecasting experience means that BLINK can offer a detailed, flexible and responsive boutique style service that reflects their customer’s needs.

Whether clients need a small seasonal trend package, a whole seasonal collection designed or a multitude of creative support services in between, BLINK’s team of experts, from highly experienced colorists through to talented designers, know how to deliver.

“When we work with clients our aim is to fully understand their needs and respond to any brief with enthusiasm, dedication and moreover deliver great results” Lucy Williams, BLINK”.
