Graphics- Winter’s Top Picks

We really appreciate those of you who take the time to comment on our posts. It makes us feel more loved!

By way of a huge thanks to one of our most prolific ‘commenters’, we sent Graphical our Winter ‘Graphics’ report and asked him to pick out some favourites from the hundreds of images we had collected. As a longstanding and well respected Graphic Designer, we were really excited to hear his opinion.

Here’s Graphical’s highlights…

Berlin

Berlin

Good to see two graffiti artists working together. Dutch artists Flying Fortress and The London Police update their signature styles with the fresh use of lime green.

Exmouth Market, London

Exmouth Market, London

Great use of an illustration with a bold font. It still reads ‘Exmouth’ as if it was written. Simple, straightforward design is sometimes the best design.

Warhol in the 'Pop Life' exhibition, Tate Modern

I love Andy Warhol and his work at The Tate Modern is fantastic. Often copied, never matched.

Skopelos Town, Greece

Skopelos Town, Greece

Hand drawn straight onto a Vespa and it looks like its been on there for years. Childish scrawl but looks great on a classic machine.

Lock Inn bar, Bestival

Lock Inn bar, Bestival

Brilliant illustration by artist Pure Evil. Works better in black and white with no use of colour. Brilliant in it’s starkness.
