Wow, what an amazing few days. Its the last day of London Fashion Week today and we are foot sore but so inspired.
Today we have decided to feature some of the incredible accessories that we spotted at Somerset House where the exhibition was beautifully held. Thanks to all of the exhibitors who spent so much time with us sharing their inspiration and plans with us. Although the looks were incredibly diverse, if we had to make a statement on some key directions, then these are our headlines:
S&M continues with harnesses informing necklaces, basque inspired belts, lots of leather with and without studs- but all lifted by wonderfully bold colour
Gold is a strong metal colour choice for trims and jewellery
Pearls– looking good in a sexy and subverted way
Neutral leathers are chic in footwear and bags, but we say lots of bright, colour blocked detailing too
And while we are talking shoes– high, high, high heels. Blocky as well as skinny heels and less platforms that previously. In fact ‘sculptural’ is the best way to describe some of the most beautiful looks we saw.
Multiple, linked rings that are worn across at least two of your fingers at once are a ladylike take on the ‘knuckle duster’ and we saw lots of variations on this theme.
Sunglasses are thick framed and super bold, featuring innovative shaping and strong colour.
