I chose the title because there is something about this look that reminds me of the brilliant Lol from Shame Meadow’s ‘This is England’.

Here’s the next blog post care of one of our wonderful interns. We’re delighted to have Claire as one of the “Blink” family. She’s been out in East London shooting streetstyle for us and there are so many fabulous shots, we’ve decided to spread this post over two days- so there’s more to come tomorrow.
So, over to Claire…
For my first post as an official member of the “Blink” team I decided to hit the streets and document what the peeps of East London are wearing during the weekend of the “big freeze”…
I’ve always loved streetstyle and, coming from a design background, it’s a huge source of inspiration for my design briefs just as much, if not more, than the talented, innovative designers who show at London Fashion Week each season. This city is a cultural melting pot of art, fashion and music and it never ceases to disappoint in the style stakes. Here are a few of my favourite shots of pure, effortless East London style battling the below zero degrees temperatures this weekend. *Note the absolute individuality of each person. Love!
I love this side of my role at “Blink”. Documenting fashion and underground trends that emerge on the streets of London through everyday life is definitely one of the perks of being part of the “Blink” team. I hope you enjoy the shots! Claire

We sent Hannah, our intrepid intern, to East London to search out some Winter streetstyle for us. She came back with some wonderful shots, so thank you to y’all for stopping to have your photo taken. There was a really clear overarching theme to the majority of the shots, aside from great outerwear to fend off the chill, which was a vintage feel. I know that this isn’t in any way new news, but the looks are gorgeous regardless. From a wholly adopted era specific statement to snatched elements of a moment in time, this is a guaranteed way to look unique and innovative.
