We absolutely love the animated Louboutin windows, featuring more than a dash of Pierre et Gilles style, tongue in cheek fabulousness, adding some Gallic sex appeal to this particular stretch of Oxford Street. If you’re a Loubi fan, a high heel addict or a fashioinista, then this is an absolute ‘must see’.

If I fancy a bit of high end retail therapy I have a special route that fulfills all of my desires. My journey takes me from Liberty, cutting through Hanover Square across to Bond Street, then into Bruton Street, a flit across Berkeley Square and into Mount Street, then a stroll up South Audley Street and the final destination is Selfridges. Its a walk past some of the highlights of international fashion, incorporating some of my favourite names. You can say hello to Martin, Stella, Marc and Matthew as you decide whether you are thinking new shoes, frock or handbag- or perhaps all three?
This week I used the excuse of avoiding Oxford Street and headed on my therapeutic route. When I reached Mount Street, I was struck by the store windows. Some of the brightest and boldest that I had seen- and a joy that they were bereft of ‘final price slash sale bonanza’ signs. Grand scale and lots of wattage seemed to be the order of the day.
We were so delighted when into our inbox popped an invitation from the lovely ladies at Christian Louboutin. We were invited to the SS’11 press day and nothing would have held us back from those pristine new season red soles!
We were allowed to take pictures on one of the rooms, and below are some of our favourite styles. The ‘Dombasle’ is named after the beautiful french actress Arielle Dombasle. The ‘Eco Trash’ shoe has been constructed from recycled Louboutin office trash. We love the ‘Americano’ hightops. Trainers have never been so sexy!
Bold, bright colour and mixed materials are key statements for SS’11, and don’t relegate your studs and tassels just yet. They are still looking super hot in the new season Louboutin collection. Oh, and just in case you were looking forward to a season off from aching tootsies, forget about it. These babies are still sky high!
