“Blink” Retail: New Collection from Tallulah and Hope

We’ve been keeping a close eye on Tallulah and Hope since the label launched in 2010. You can read up on the founders and their inspiration behind the collection here.

Well, we are several collections down the line now and T&H has gone from strength to strength, swiftly finding a place in many very stylish women’s wardrobes. They have diversified the range, adding lots of new shapes as well as introducing swimwear, yet most importantly they have retained their original vision and built upon their unique handwriting.
Their newest collection launches on the Tallulah and Hope website on 1st August, but the collection is already available in-store at Selfridges London, Fenwick Bond Street, Boutique 1 Dubai as well as Harvey Nichols Riyadh.

We asked Zoe and Lisa about the inspiration behind this collection and they told us “This season we have taken a graphic approach to recurrent themes in our work – water and light, creating bold, directional stripes that have a strong nautical feel.”.

“Blink” Retail: Brilliant Black Leather

After many, many season’s in the fashion doldrums, black leather and leather inspired looks are now super hot again. Brought back into our style consciousness through the brilliant Biker jacket, and now diversifying into great dresses, skirts, shorts and even the (gulp) leather trouser is looking very, very good again. Here’s some of our favourites shot at retail over the past month or so. From high end to high street, fashion is showing leather a lot of love!

Streetstyle: Fashion in Fenwicks

We have a growing passion for Fenwicks on Bond Street. Its always been a little bit in the shadow of the showier and more cutting edge fashion department store destinations, but its quietly been raising its fashion credentials, stocking some of our favourite brands from Vanessa Bruno and Paul & Joe to Surface to Air and Clu. To top it all off, we have been very impressed by the gorgeous and very stylish staff. We spotted this glitter knit clad young lady when we were in-store last week. She was very proper and phoned her boss before agreeing to pose for us. Thanks to them both!

Accessories- Chic Chapeaux

As we were putting together the Winter ‘Accessories’ report, we noticed a building trend for beautiful hats. They have a formal, vintage feel about them reflecting the more ‘dressed up’ and tailored feel that’s coming through. These hats are certainly not “with jeans”. This is about a sharper silhouette balanced with considered, refined detailing. This is an exciting indicator of a real sea change in fashion and styling.
