London Fashion Week: Topshop Unique, SS12 Show. Celebrity FROW

So, you’ve seen the show coverage. Now see who was in attendance. We have some fabulous streetstyle shots from the fashion crowd that headed to Waterloo for the Topshop Unique show, but this post is all about the celebrity FROWers who got the flash bulbs popping and the paps in a lather.

I have mentioned that Anna Wintour was there, but what I didn’t mention was how the presence of several burly bodyguards put me right off trying to get a shot, so she won’t be featured here. We do have some other good spots for you though. Bip Ling (blogger, stylist, artist, DJ…) and Eliza Doolittle both wore pieces from the AW11 Unique collection. Olivia Palermo (what is her official job title?) looked lovely and very shiny haired, if a little predictable. Kelis, someone who’s style we really admire, looked cool in a slightly rock meets rockabilly way. Nicola Roberts either need to get a stylist or sack the one she’s currently working with (a knitted, patterned jumpsuit can never be a good idea). Marina, of Marina and the Diamonds, looked 50’s fab and we almost didn’t recognize her with her newly platinum blonde locks. Pixie Geldof looked understated yet cool in a bias cut maxi dress. Ellie Goulding wore a navy jersey jumpsuit that was really quite sophis. Naomi Campbell seemed a little out of place to be honest, but worked a monochrome ensemble that looked Chanel.

Blink Reports: Soft Wovens

Here we are with the last of our five monthly reports for you. This one is actually a favourite of ours. At “Blink” we love a slip of chiffon, something lovely in lace and a slinkly crepe de chine number. Well, who doesn’t! This is the report were you’ll find all of those things and much, much more.

For the uninitiated amongst you, ‘Soft Wovens’ is a category that covers, uhm, wovens that are, oh, soft! Its about almost tailored, semi structured or ultra soft styles in really wonderful textiles. Beautiful blouses, shift dresses, unstructured jackets, and voluminous trousers. That kind of thing! Its a department that has gone from grandmama to hot mama in a few short years, and we have been there to track its stellar progress.

These few introductory pages were followed by almost 40 more stuffed with fabulously inspirational product shots, with lots of close up details too. In total there are over 100 product shots in each report!

So, if you are looking for whats hot, exciting and innovative in the British fast fashion womenswear market, you have come to the right place. If you’d like to see any of the reports in full, then why not drop us an email or contact your nearest agent? We are looking forward to hearing from you.

London Fashion Week: Back to Black

So, we go from yesterday’s London Fashion Week post about brilliant brights to today’s post where we look at those fashionistas who were rocking beautiful black at Somerset House.

Key to keeping this looking interesting, we think, is the combination of layering textures plus a pop of contrast and bold accessories. Black looks clean and tailored in many of these looks, which for us is the key direction for Autumn Winter 2010 and into Spring Summer 2011. There is a new minimalist mood in the air, which blends perfectly with a renewed love for ladylike creating a fresh aesthetic that is both soft and strong.
