A little while back we reported on the amazing and inspiring Anthony Burrill studio at Somerset House’s ‘Pick Me Up’ exhibition. Since then he’s been keeping us up to speed with his moves and grooves, and we were delighted to see there was a new exhibition on, entitled ‘Clear Your Head Every Day’. If, like us, you are a fan of the ‘Godfather of the graphic art scene’, we guarantee that you will enjoy this collection of work at Outline Editions on Berwick Street on show until 16th July (shake a leg and get down there sharpish so you don’t miss out).
‘Clear Your Head Every Day’ includes a collection of 30 new, small-scale limited edition prints and neon artworks created exclusively for the show, as well as collaborations with both internationally acclaimed furniture designer Michael Marriott and the sculptor Wilfrid Wood. There are live workshops taking place and the gallery space and windows have been re-designed by Burrill and Marriott for the show. If you’re in the mood to make a purchase, each piece will be for sale (prices from £30 – £300).
Burrill says, ‘Clear Your Head Every Day’ is a show very much in the spirit of an open studio following on from Pick Me Up. Everything shown is based around a theme of positivity and as the title suggests, is about an antidote to stressful, city life.
