“Blink” reports- ‘Denim’

Thanks goodness it’s Friday. And to add to your reasons to be joyful, we have not one but two posts for you today. I know! We’ll start with ‘Denim’ just to round up our posts on our category specific reports for the week. You’ve already been treated to jersey, knit, soft wovens and print. You may have noticed that the format is pretty much the same through the reports, but it isn’t identical. Each report subject has its idiosyncratic moments, just to ensure that particular product type or subject is presented at its absolute best.

The ‘Denim’ report definitely has its own approach. There are no colour palettes in here, but we do run a few pages that highlight particular stories within the denim and casual wovens category, whether its about colour, pattern, treatments or trims. There are lots of close ups and cut outs though this report ensuring that you see all of the detail that goes in to making a style particular to a brand, and inspiring you to come up with new approaches to your own denim personality.

As with the other reports we have previewed this week, we have a few key pages from the report for you in this post. In total, this particular edition ran at over 45 pages, so there’s lots more for you to see. If you’re interested in checking this out, or seeing the full editions of any of our reports, why not have a look here for our contact details, or those of your nearest agent. Enjoy!

AW’11: New Season Coating

We’ve been collecting shots of great coats for the past month, but were distracted from sharing them with you due to all of the amazing LFW coverage we had to post. The high end stores of Mount Street, Bond Street, South Molton Street and Sloane Street have been spotlighting the most amazing outerwear, encouraging us to let go of all Indian Summer hopes and embrace the fact that Winter is coming, whether we like it or not.

This post focuses on all of the wonderfully shaggy shearling, textural and paneled looks we’ve been spotting. So whether you’re after a simple sheepskin number, or feeling for a variation on the traditional wool coat (well, actually its all wool of various sorts I suppose…), there are some really inspiring styles out there. Here are some of our favourite spots for you, and we may well have some other outerwear options to follow later in the week.

Alberta Ferretti

Browns

Dolce and Gabbana

Louis Vuitton

Reiss

Roberto Cavalli

Sonia Rykiel

Blink Reports: Denim

Well, its been some time in the making, and we’re almost ready to reveal the new ‘Reports’ page to you all. I felt that it was about time for you all to see what we spend most of our waking hours working on. “Blink” is, after all, a fashion reporting service. We sell the reports through our amazing network of hardworking agents who are scattered far and wide around the globe.

We thought you might like to see what all the fuss is about. If you think that you’re business could benefit from this kind of information then why not contact us, or your nearest agent, to see the full set of reports for yourself? They are incredibly well priced, full of brilliantly commercially applicable information and a great buying of design tool.

Here’s a snapshot of the first few pages from our November ‘Denim’ report. These pages were followed by over 35 more, stuffed full of detailed product shots of what’s looking hot on the British high street right now!

London Fashion Week: Back to Black

So, we go from yesterday’s London Fashion Week post about brilliant brights to today’s post where we look at those fashionistas who were rocking beautiful black at Somerset House.

Key to keeping this looking interesting, we think, is the combination of layering textures plus a pop of contrast and bold accessories. Black looks clean and tailored in many of these looks, which for us is the key direction for Autumn Winter 2010 and into Spring Summer 2011. There is a new minimalist mood in the air, which blends perfectly with a renewed love for ladylike creating a fresh aesthetic that is both soft and strong.
