I hope that you enjoyed our little look at Wallis’ W collection yesterday. Now we take a look at our favourtes from Topshop. This was a couple of rails that were virtually vibrating with energy as bold pattern, embellishment, bright colour upon colour and lots of shine were hung up side by side by side. It was as overwhelming as it was exciting.
Even though bright shades were the strongest statement, my favourite item and one that’s on my Spring shopping list (I hope it makes it to the shop floor!) is this stunning peachy pink, trench style coat. Perfect proportions, luxe feeling fabric and cool detailing. And brilliant when styled with the fuzzy pastel pink pencil skirt hung next to it.
Sports inspired looks are still very topical, and this wasn’t the only sweat that we saw across the press days but it was the prettiest and also the blingiest. Love the clean, slickly sporty finish of the backpack and this clutch bag. Oh, and those go faster striped, sporty wedges are quite fantastic too.
I really like the matching tops and bottoms sets. Cut in graphically simplistic shapes from firm fabrics at Toppers, ensuring that the focus is on the stunning patterns. We saw these from several labels, but these were amongst the boldest.
Finally, to add to the riot of super bright colour and eye popping shine, Toppers were also showing a collection of gorgeously bold, bright and brilliant jewellery. Statement necklaces have rarely before made quite such a, well, statement!

A very smart window scheme choice from H&M, from two perspectives. Firstly The London Olympics launch today, just in case you’d missed that little bit of information! We’ve all gone a little sporting mad, and even though we were missing the Olympic spirit in the “Blink” office for a while, I have to say that the excitement has now truly taken hold. Come on Team GB!
The second good reason for this window scheme is H&M’s very well timed launch of their ‘Sports’ collection- although none of the mannequins actually seem to be wearing it, which is a little bit of an oversight we think. Cool windows none the less.
