So, we’re straight in there with some pictures from the first few days of London Fashion Week. We’ve decided to have a look at one of the biggest stories of this Spring, and one that looks to have a long term impact on the way we’ll be wearing colour. From the Spring ’11 catwalks (check Jil Sander as the perfect example) colour blocking strong brights is a key direction. Translate this to the reality of a Spring day, and you have the ‘Colour Pop!’. Its the way to give this trend a nod and a wink without blinding those around you. Balance brights with softer shades- but we have to say that those who have chosen not to go the easy black backdrop route look the most interesting. Another really workable option is to rock some boldly coloured accessories.
Is bright the new black? Only kidding! Bright is just a great way to switch it up, grab a ray of sunshine and make a step change into Spring joy.

Oh, what to show you next? That’s the big question. We’ve got so many great shots from London Fashion Week (thanks to all the “Blink” team who worked so hard, especially Asta!).
As its such a dull and grey morning we decided to try and add some colour back into the day by focusing on all the bravely brightly coloured folk who added that extra zing to London Fashion Week at Somerset House. Black was probably the most prevalent colour choice for the fashion crowd- quelle surprise, but that just made these looks stand out all the more. Not quite the flouro shades of the SS’11 collections, but we still really like these strong colour and pattern combinations.
