I do love a good Christmas window and there are some great ones out there this time around (did you see my tweet of the Stella McCartney window yesterday?). This one from Dolce and Gabbana, in their Sloane Street store, has to be one of my most favourite. Who wouldn’t want to be sat at a table this glamorous, filled with so many sweet treats, decorated with some rather wonderful sparklers (and by sparklers we are referring to that rather gorgeous jewellery).

As you saw from yesterday’s post, its all about Christmas out there in fashion retail land, but some brands have decided not to take the sparkly lights and tinsel approach.
At Chanel, Karl seems to have decided that, after all the fun of super shaggy fur, he was on to more of a naive and crafty direction. I’m not so sure what Madame Coco herself would think of these, but we just love these mini Chanel dollies. The likeness is just perfect and the detailing is divine. These petite Coco’s are tucked in and around the mannequins in the Sloane Street store, adding a very appealing ‘tongue in cheek’ touch to their Christmas scheme. Who knew that the House of Chanel had such a sense of humour! Actually, we do remember the Kaiser Karl teddy bears of not that long ago, made by Steiff, so I suppose that a Coco dolly doesn’t seem such a crazy idea. When you are so rarefied and wonderful, what could be more appropriate than poking a little fun at yourself- but obviously in a terribly stylish way?!
Well, we can’t quite believe it but its that time of year again! Time to dust off those unwanted pressies ready for a spot of re-gifting (its the eco choice, don’t you know!).
London has embraced the seasonal mood with some lovely (and some not so lovely) decorations gracing the main thoroughfares. Our favourite by a mile are those on Carnaby Street. Its returned to its 60’s roots with some brilliantly kitsch and super cheery inflatables suspended above the crowds. It put a smile on our faces and almost created a feeling of peace and love towards our fellow shoppers. Head down there if your spirits are flagging as you try to search out something small, but perfectly formed, for those on your Christmas list…
