Streetstyle: East London Rocking Classics

Asta was out style stalking at the weekend and came back with some great shots from you Shoreditch stylistas as usual. We particularly like the look of these two. Both individually rocking very separate and personal looks, but somehow that makes each look far more interesting. Its far more usual to spot a group all styled quite similarly creating their own mini tribe, and somehow diluting the individuality in the process.

I’m really into the attention to detail in both looks too. Great bleached tips on mac lady, and those tie dyed socks add an extra edge to jeans girl…

The Reports: April’11 Denim

So, this week we have updated ‘The Reports’ tab with the April reports. These were issued at the end of March and feature lots of wonderful Spring Summer product. As they are the life-blood of our business, we decided to dedicate a week of posts to them, to share a little of each report with you all. We hope that you’ve enjoyed the posts this week, and you can look at them all together by clicking on ‘The Reports’ tab any time you like too.

Last but certainly not least is the ‘Denim’ report. It’s always a really interesting one to pull together as its a mixture of huge amounts of continuity and then some really fabulous, swift and speedy micro trends on colour, hardware or treatments. It also covers a pretty diverse product group, hence the name of ‘Denim plus’. This season, so far, we’ve seen n explosion of colour, the continuation and development of heavy metal hardware as well as some great new silhouette updates.

If you’d like to see more of the reports (the attached gallery is just a preview of the first few pages. There are about 40 pages in each report) then take a look at our list of agents and contact your nearest one- or of course you can contact us directly.

The Reports: January ’11 Denim

So, this week we have updated ‘The Reports’ tab with the January reports. These were issued at the end of December and feature the last of the full Winter product. As they are the life-blood of our business, we wanted to give each of the reports a moment in the spotlight so have decided to give each of them a blog post too. You can look at them all together by clicking on ‘The Reports’ tab any time you like too.

We have just upgraded the level of contents, improved the printing and added a posh new front and back cover to the reports so we’re hopeful that our wonderful agents will have some great new subscription orders for us very soon. If you’d like to see more of the reports (the attached gallery are just a preview of the first few pages. There are about 40 pages in each report) then take a look at our list of agents and contact your nearest one- or of course you can contact us directly.

The denim one is always a really interesting one to pull together as its a mixture of huge amounts of continuity and then some really fabulous, swift and speedy micro trends on colour, hardware or treatments. It also covers a pretty diverse product group, hence the name of ‘Denim plus’. For Autumn and Winter that meant that there was a lot of leather and shearling being highlighted in the report. What will be the key alternative to denim for Spring 2011?

Streetstyle: Black and Blue

We spotted this stylish young lady on Regent Street when out retailing last week. She was on a moments break from her job in H&M when we cornered her and asked if we could take her photo. We just loved the proportions and mood of her look, combining great high waisted, snow washed denim shorts with a cropped biker and a lovely softly sheer blouse.  There’s a touch of androgyny combined with a fragility- and who doesn’t love blue and black mixed together? We hope that you like her look too.

Blink streetstyle: Soho, so chic

Our wonderful “Blinkette”, Asta, was out and about after the Louboutin Press Day (post coming tomorrow!) when she spotted this chic pair in Soho. We just love their looks. The great accessorizing, attention to detail and quirky individuality just sums up what is great about you stylish London ladies.

London Fashion Week: Super Self Styling, part 1

As we come to the end of our London Fashion Week coverage, I have been looking back over all the shots that we gathered at Somerset House and I think that its fair to say that this time around, there were really no massive overriding, all encompassing looks. There was something far more exciting than that. Individuality, ladies and gentlemen. Its an exciting turn of events, and generally something that we Londoners excel at.

Today and tomorrow we have some of our favourite, highly self expressive looks for you to enjoy.

Blink Events: LED, In Depth

Following Friday’s first look at LED, we have some more great shots for you. It was a stylee event, but on the whole in a less ‘dress up’ way than some of the other East London festivals that we have covered this Summer. Here are some of our favourite looks for you- and the weather Gods were smiling down on the event too…

Blink Travels: Hot Danish

So, after the festival frenzy of the past few weeks we now have a week free to feature the great coverage that the lovely Asta has been sending us from Copenhagen.

Its a supremely stylish city at the best of times. Yes, you have probably gathered from previous posts that we have a crush on Copenhagen. When Copenhagen Fashion Week comes around the style quotient increases even above and beyond this city’s usual high standards.

We are starting this week with a few streetstyle shots from around and about CPH Fashion Week. Asta spotted some really lovely looks for us that reflect the feel of Copenhagen style really well. Its about an understated style that is more individual than big name, more eclectic but not so vintage, quite detailed but not overly complex, glowing scrubbed cheeks rather than knee deep in make up. And doesn’t everyone just look so damned healthy!

Enjoy and click here for more posts from beyond London.
