So, we have already featured lots of great black leather and leather inspired looks this morning. This afternoon, we look at another leather based look, and this one takes things a little tougher…
The favourite option for instantly updating the leather jacket seems to be smothering it in a generous scattering of studs. The more the better! I was out doing a bit of retail researching on Friday when I was tempted in to Primark by these two looks, straying frighteningly close to the original inspiration. To be honest the prints may be close, but the cuts, silhouettes, base cloths and execution are far from inspirational- but what do you expect for these bargain prices!?

As we researched this month’s reports we had a combination of Autumn Winter 2009 product and a surprising amount of Spring 2010 starting to hit the shop floors, particularly at the high end. The exciting new product did serve to make the Winter stock look a little tired, and it also made us realize that we are oh so ready for Spring to get going.
Here’s a little taster for you. A Springy ‘amuse-bouche’ if you will. These shots are from our January print report. They are all blooming with energy and optimism. I hope that this is a good sign for the new season ahead.
